Ambit Wins Bond Street Refurbishment for Royal London Asset Management

Announcements 16th June, 2025

We have been appointed to deliver the comprehensive refurbishment of 128-129 New Bond Street in the heart of Mayfair for Royal London Asset Management.

Working alongside project manager and contract administrator Hart Dixon, Chapman Architects, services engineer GDM Group and structural engineer Heyne Tillet Steel, the project will see sustainable refurbishment across the five-storey property.

The building, previously occupied by HSBC, will be fully stripped back and reconfigured to meet the demands of modern occupiers, while respecting its position in one of London’s most iconic locations.

Street view of 128–129 New Bond Street, a prominent corner building in Mayfair with ornate stone façades and period architecture, marking Ambit's latest refurbishment win.

The works include a white box fit out to the basement, ground and first to third floors, a new first-floor extension in the rear lightwell and infill extension to the courtyard, and the creation of a new roof terrace on level three. Further enhancements include the replacement of roof lights, infill of the rear mansard, and the installation of a new lift core and upgraded electrical systems.

The scope also includes infrastructure improvements such as new smoke ventilation systems, a new UPS, and cooling provisions for plant equipment. Existing water systems will be retained and refurbished, while drainage, lighting, and fire alarm systems will be modernised throughout.

We will also deliver external alterations to windows, the entrance, and the surrounding pavement, with waterproofing and structural upgrades to the basement and vaults.

This is another exciting addition to our growing central London refurbishment portfolio, and we can’t wait to get started.
